Our reliable team stands out for its professionalism and dedication. With a complete commitment to the Rebholz philosophy, we all work side by side in honoring the long-established traditions and standards of our estate and its wines
Rainer Kessler, our winemaker, came to us shortly after finishing his official training and stayed until he himself gained the title of master craftsman. After gathering experience at other estates, he re-joined our team in 2000 and has been responsible for the vineyards, cellar and training ever since. In recent years he has dedicated himself to organic and biodynamic methods in the vineyards.
Michael Anselmann is one of our former interns. He first stood out for his impressive performance in the training program as a viticulture technician. He has since become a valuable addition to our team, supporting us in many aspects of the vineyard, the cellar and especially in out-of-house sales of the wine.
Sabine Wagner studied International Wine Business in Geisenheim and did internships in Alto Adige and New York. She is our person for sales and export.
Sabine Ziegler, Birgit Rebholz's sister, has been an essential member of our office team since 2001. Her extensive professional experience gives us peace of mind that that part of the business is in good hands.
Christoph Schneider works for us since 2005. He is a real "Siebeldinger" and is in charge for all the shipments, storage and archive. He also has a huge experice with all the handwork in the vineyard and during harvest.
Opa Ottl, Birgit's father, spends his retirement caring for his vineyard, as well as our old terraced vineyard, the Albersweiler Latt.
Our team also includes a roster of trainees, interns and students involved in a work/study program in viticulture. We are currently hosting three of them. Since the beginning of the 80s, we are proud to have supported over 70 young persons as they studied and trained to become winemakers.
Also absolutely vital to our success in recent years is our reliable team of seasonal workers, joining us year after year from both near and far. Their toil and dedication have been indispensable to the progress we've made
